When you sign up, you're assigned a subdomain like yourco.deadsimple.email. Inboxes you create get addresses like support@yourco.deadsimple.email. No DNS configuration required — it works instantly. If you want to use your own domain (like agent@yourcompany.com), that's available on Hobby and above.
Plans are billed monthly via Stripe. Your base plan includes a set number of inboxes and emails. If you exceed those limits, overages are metered and billed at the end of the billing cycle. You'll never be cut off mid-month — we bill after the fact at transparent, flat rates.
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. You can manage your plan from the dashboard or Stripe customer portal.
The Free tier is your trial — it includes 5 inboxes and 5,000 emails/month with no time limit. Build your integration, test it in production, and upgrade when you need more capacity.
On paid plans, you'll be charged the overage rate ($0.15 per 1,000 extra emails). On the Free tier, sending is paused until the next billing cycle — but you'll still receive inbound emails. We'll notify you before you hit limits so there are no surprises.
